FSAEs Qualified Association Specialist (QAS) Certificate Program is a brand new, affordable educational program for professionals in the association industry. This online training program provides a broad base view of the principles in association management. The QAS Certificate Program helps all staff connect how various association functions/departments work together.
The program gathers seasoned experts from around the country to present a comprehensive overview of the many facets of working in or with an association - from the legal and financial "business model" of associations' unique governance/volunteer structure, to understanding the key principles of membership, communications, events, social media/communities, non-dues revenue programs, public policy and data management. These industry leaders share their knowledge with you through 12 online modules, approximately an hour each to fully prepare you for your career in association management.

ASAE Seeks Candidates for Diversity Leadership Program
|
ASAEs Diversity Executive Leadership Program (DELP) supports individuals from under-represented identity groups in the association community, to advance into the ranks of leadership in the association profession. DELP scholars participate in an accelerated leadership program of education, mentoring, and volunteer service in the association community.
Click here to learn more. Please consider applying for this program, or encourage other association professionals to apply. All applications must be received at ASAE by March 14, 2014.
FSAE Members currently DELP Scholars:
"I am truly grateful and honored to be a DELP scholar. The program has given me access to coaching, training and mentors, exposure as an association professional and the confidence to excel in my current position at The Institute of Internal Auditors. As a result of the DELP program, I am enthusiastic about engaging in FSAE and ASAE volunteer opportunities and helping others with their association career goals." Maunda Land, CMP, Manager, The Institute of Internal Auditors
I cannot say thank you enough to ASAE for creating the DELP program and to the Detroit Metro CVB and Larry Alexander for their continued support. The DELP family is encouraging, supportive, and contains a talented and diverse group of individuals. What I've gained in this process truly outweighs what I feel that I am able to give back. A quote from Atticus Finch in Harper Lee's To Kill a Mockingbird sums it up best:
"You never really understand a person until you consider things from his point of view... Until you climb into his skin and walk around in it."
