Glenn Hill II ~ Music
Glenn, a senior at Harding Academy, is an exceptional student and talented musician. He holds a 4.05 weighted grade point average and scored 28 on the ACT. He currently ranks fifth in the senior class. He has been selected for the All West Senior High Band, Orchestra and Junior Band. He also was 1st Chair in the University of Memphis Honor Blue Band (top band).  ...more

Reception Honoring Ken Cox at the Musical Revue

Join us for a Musical Revue, a blast of theatrical and musical entertainment from Harding Academy's rich history. Between the afternoon and evening performances, we will honor Ken Cox with a special reception.

Re-enrollment Packets 

Heads up! Re-enrollment packets were distributed this week and are due back on January 23.  

Campus Transfer Request  

Transfer requests were also sent home on January 9. Those forms are due back on January 16 - one week before re-enrollment packets are due.  
ATHLETICS
Harding Swim Team
The Harding swim team has had a wonderful year so far. We have two more high school swim meets - the Shelby County State Championship meet and then the State meet in Knoxville.

Congratulations to all of the swimmers. They have done a fine job. Our high school swimmers are: Clayton Burch, Danielle Elbert, and Julia Mathews.

Julia Mathews has made County times in the following: 200 Free, 50 Back, 500 Free.

Danielle Elbert has made County times in the following: 200 IM, 50 Free, 100 Fly, 100 Free, and 100 Breast.

Danielle will represent Harding Academy in the State championship meet in Knoxville on February 8 & 9. She will swim the 100 Fly and the 200 IM.

Our next high school meet is Thursday, January 17, at 7:00 p.m.;  warm-ups are at 6:30 p.m.

COUNSELING
Financial Aid Night
Financial Aid for College Night is this coming Monday night, January 14, at 7:00 p.m. in the Stepherson Room
ACT Prep class
There will be an ACT Prep class taught at Harding Academy with Gary McCormack, March 21 - April 11. The class will meet for four Thursdays. The course is $170 and the workbook (required) is $20. Online registration is available at www.hardinglions.org/leap and books can be purchased at that time. Paper forms are also available in the counseling office.

LEAP ~ SPRING 2013

LEAP  - after school enrichment classes - for early childhood and lower school students are now online. We have Mad Science, Drama Kids, Karate, guitar lessons, piano lessons and classes, band, Zumba, gymnastics, SoccerTots, and more!

For parents and students in EC1, EC2, and PK - we are offering Kindermusik (with parent participation) at Cordova and Cherry Road.

New offerings include: SoccerTots for PK students and Zumba at Cordova for grades 2 - 6. We are also adding guitar lessons at Cordova for grades 3 - 6. (White Station currently offers guitar lessons and there is one more space available!)
