Veterans Day Program ~ Upper School

We were pleased to honor former teacher Mr. Isaiah Hall today at the upper school Veterans Day program on Friday, November 9. Mr. Hall's family (pictured above) came from out of town to be with us.

A Soldier and an Educator: Mr. Isaiah Hall began teaching at Harding in 1966. Mr. Hall, known by his friends as "Ike," taught 7th grade Geography and Bible. He taught for 22 years retiring in 1988. Mr. Hall was wounded in action on July 10, 1944, (World War II) and was confined to a wheelchair. He never complained or desired pity; he strove to instill the love of God in his family and students.
