In Memory of Patty
For the past 12 years, many of you have gotten to know Patty through calls to our support line and your initial Banyon training. We are very sad to announce that Patty passed away on December 17th, 2013 after a long and courageous battle with cancer.

Software Current Versions & New Features
Payroll Version 10.07 12/16/13
- Seasonal employee option added on employment data screen
- "Monthly Employee Count" report added to check register category in report writer.
- Change to the 941 that will now report in Box 1 employees that worked in the pay period that included the 12th day of the 3rd month in the quarter.
Fund Accounting Version 10.01 11/07/13 - Check guard or "Positive Pay" creates a check file that can be sent to your bank. The bank will only cash checks that they receive in the file. (check with your bank first to see if they have the ability to do this)
- Payment batch screen "EFT & "Check" totals have been added so you can easily see theses totals after a batch is closed and before batch posting for verification.
- Budget warning message on payment batch will now show the budget, YTD amount, and amount over budget. (budget warnings need to be activated in setup options, checking accounts tab.)
- Vendor/Customer comment can now "pop up" when that customer/vendor is chosen from the payment or receipt batch entry screen. From the customer/vendor screen enter in a comment and check the pop up in batch box.
- Vendor/Customer attachments can now be saved on the vendor/customer screen by clicking attachment on the left menu. Locate a path to a folder on your c: or network that you want to store all the attachments. Next, click on add attachment and browse to that folder to select your file.
- Paid Check Registers from the check writer screen can now be filtered or printed via a check date range. Simply check the "use check dates below only" box and enter in a check date range.
- Posted batches can be edited by clicking on the batch and select edit. Update reference #, project #, comments, transaction date, claim type, and account code. To change the account code, click ChgAct on the top left. Changing the account number will create an audit entry for tracking purposes, but makes the process easier than doing a manual journal entry.
- On batch screens the date entry mask can be changed on the top to fixed or use calendar. Set to fixed will allow you to easily just enter in 012313 for a date. (01/23/2013)
Utility Billing Version 6.718 12/12/13 - Version 10 is still in the testing phase.
- Round up service was changed to round up to the dollar amount you enter in setup. Previously defaulted to nearest $1. Round up service can be used to allow customers to "round up" their bill to the nearest $1, $5, etc. The round up amount is a donation and can be applied to a specific revenue code. The service on the bill can be named as well. For example Fire Works Fund or City Festival Donation.
- Save multiple bill messages. From the print bills menu on the bill message tab, fill out your bill messages and then click on the "create new message list item." This will save what you typed and call it "City Festival" and the message will be retained in the drop down list to select next year. Have holiday message, annual cleanup message, etc.
- Summary bill printing is now available. If you have customers that receive multiple bills for properties, you can now send a summary full bill along with the individual bills. This allows your customer to pay from the summary bill the total due, but has the individual detail to still look at. To use, activate summary bill from the right click, setup and choose forms. Click on Summary Full bill in the right column to say yes. Now pull up a customers bill and go to the misc tab and put a letter "a", for example, in the summary code box. Put this same code on all the customers properties to combine for the summary bill. Choose another code for your next customer you are going to combine bills for. The summary bill is then available to print in the reports drop down by selecting "full bills summary".
-
