The New Paltz Challenge is upon us and we are in full swing preparing for the half marathon and 5K this coming Sunday, June 15th. A lot of this work started in the cold of January and February and it will continue right up until Sunday afternoon. If you are procrastinating, there is still time to register. If you would like to volunteer, please contact us at the Chamber. There are never too many volunteers- the volunteer shirt is worth the time anyhow!

We will have a team here at the Chamber working on the goodie bags for the Challenge participants this Thursday and Friday as well as early registration pick up on Saturday from 10AM-2PM. If you are in the area, please stop by and avoid the hassle of having to get all of that together on race day. We can't wait for this great event and are looking at having the highest number of registrants in the history of this event. That's something to be proud of. A detailed thank you will go out to all the Challenge Run Committee Members next week after the event, but I want to tell you all thank you before the event as well. I understand that it is a commitment that starts early in the year and continues to build momentum as the time ticks away. So, thank you for your effort and perseverance. I know that this is going to be a first class experience for the participants.
It does not stop after the New Paltz Challenge either. We continue to make things happen. The Foundation is hosting their Annual Scholarship awards on June 18th at the Mohonk Mountain House, Glenn Shepard will be here on July 8th and our golf outing "Take it out on a Titleist" is July 24th. We started the year off busy and nearing halfway we are still on the move.
The New Paltz Regional Chamber of Commerce is your Chamber. We are constantly working to provide you with a Membership experience that is second to none and of great value. We look forward to your success.

Hike with The HYPE as we walk the Overcliff Undercliff Carriage Roads Loop at the Mohonk Preserve.
Follow this pleasant loop trail skirting the base of the rock climbing cliffs for spectacular views of climbers and the valley below.
Meet at the Mohonk Preserve Visitor Center on Saturday, June 28th at 9am to meet with representatives from the Mohonk Preserve and learn about their land and mission. After the talk, receive your complimentary parking pass and head to the West Trapps Trailhead for the hike.
**NOTE: You must pre-register for this event in order to receive your free parking permit.
