Please like it to keep up to date on eats, drinks, entertainment, and more! We are also getting ready to begin offering our advance discount packages very soon, so keep your eyes peeled. The Chamber collaborated with three other organizations, Greater Monroe Chamber of Commerce, Gardiner Assiciation of Businesses, and Pine Bush Area Chamber of Commerce, and had a huge "Mega Chamber Mixer" yesterday at Wallkill Valley Federal Savings and Loan. | July Business Luncheon: "Don't Text and Drive!" at The Terrace Restaurant, SUNY New Paltz
The program for this luncheon will be a 20-minute presentation on "Limiting Employer Liability Through the Adoption of Employee Cell Phone Use Policies". Employers may be held liable for injuries or death caused by an employee using a cell phone while driving, and may face significant financial repercussions. Many companies have adopted successful cell phone policies that reduce the risk of crashes without reducing productivity. The presenters are Hon. Judy Reichler, an attorney and former New Paltz Town Justice, and Bill Weinstein, a local businessman. They will explain the risks of employee cell phone use and will have on hand examples of policies being used by companies throughout the country that can be adapted for use locally.
