Parish Notices for the Week of 10 April 2016
 
Safe Church Training at St. Peter's: The Episcopal Church requires that ALL Church Personnel, including clergy, salaried staff and volunteers, including Church School staff, Scout Leaders, Music Directors and Teachers, Lay Eucharistic Visitors, Parochial school teachers, Vestry Members, and any keyholders have Safe Church Training. We will host such training at St. Peter's on Saturday, April 23 from 9 am to 3 pm. The trainer will be the Reverend Anthony Jones, Deacon at St. John's, Huntington. This training is at no cost to the participant. If you have not already, please sign up on the sheet in the narthex. We can only accommodate 50 persons, so reserve your space early. While all are invited and encouraged to take the onsite training, people in these categories may take the course online: Church School Teachers, Nursery Workers, Parochial School Teachers, Keyholders. If you fall into one of these categories and cannot make the training date, please speak with Mark Engelhardt about registering for the online course.
 
ECW Meeting on Thursday, April 21 at 11:30 AM. Guest speaker will be Sarah Faye Meurer, President of Sagtikos Manor Historical Society.
 
Suffolk Archdeaconry ECW Bus Trip! Date: 26 April 2016. Destination: Seamen's Church Institute, Port Newark, NJ.
 
Save the Date! The 4th Annual Episcopalian Bike Ride for Fellowship and Fundraising -- Saturday, April 30th. A sign-up sheet, sponsor form and FAQs sheets are available in the Narthex.
 
Good Shepherd Hospice Bereavement Services are opened to anyone in the community who has experienced a loss through death at no charge. Upcoming Bereavement Support Groups, led by a Bereavement Specialist, include: Spousal/Partner Loss Group - 4/7/16-5/26/16; 6:00PM-7:30PM. Group is held at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 9 Clinton Ave., Bay Shore. Registration required - (631) 828-7629.

Troop 43 wants to honor its 59 Eagle Scouts
with a Memorial Plaque that will be located in the Narthex of St. Peter's Church. The cost of the plaque is $1,500. We have raised $750 so far but we need help raising the rest of the funds. Please help support this worthy cause. Troop 43 thanks you for your support. Further information is available in the narthex.
