BRING A PROSPECTIVE MEMBER TO
NETWORKING BY NIGHT !
We will make it worth your (& their) while!
Our monthly Networking by Night Business Card Exchanges have proved to be a great way to do casual face-to-face networking with your fellow members and to expand the range of your marketing efforts. With that in mind, your Member Events Committee has established a new program to help grow our Chamber membership, save you money at future networking events and give you the opportunity to save bucks on your 2015 Chamber dues.
Starting with our next Networking by Night on May 8th at Amy's Place Bar & Grill and sponsored by Easthampton Savings Bank, any member who brings a prospective member to our event will get a free pass to the next networking, plus that prospect will be allowed to attend at the $5 member price.
If that prospect joins the Chamber, the sponsoring member will be placed in a drawing at the November 14th Networking with that winning member receiving 10% off their 2015 Chamber dues. The more prospective members you bring that join, the more entries you will receive into the dues-saving drawing.
PLUS the new member that joins under this program, will be entered into a drawing at the November Networking to win 2 tickets to the Annual Chamber Holiday Dance, a $100 value.
So, take the time today to invite a prospect to Networking. It can save you money and help your Chamber grow!

Member News: A Street Festival with a Twist
Cultural Chaos, a "street festival with a twist," is presented by the Cottage Street Cultural District, and will take place Saturday, June 14, from 11 to 6.
Cultural Chaos is a daylong street festival and block party featuring Cottage Street's unique food, culture and businesses. There will be music performances, food-tastings, street performances and demonstrations. Cultural Chaos is a prime example of the cultural diversity that is so central to Easthampton's Cottage Street.
Currently, there are already many businesses partnering with the festival that will offer events outside of their businesses and throughout the streets. The upper part of Cottage Street will be blocked off for the festival. There will be two stages, with music managed by Luthier's Co-op.
Marlies Stoddard, a Chamber member , owner of Nash Gallery and chair of the Cultural District Subcommittee says, "The festival is the manifestation of all of the hard work of businesses who believed that there is something remarkable about this community and were willing to organize an event. We are celebrating how dynamic we are as a neighborhood filled with fun places."
Cultural Chaos is seeking volunteers for the day of the event. Sign up at culturalchaos.org .For more information, contact Burns Maxey, ECA+ Coordinator, at arts@easthampton.org or 413-527-8278.

Board Member Profile: Vicky Puza-Allen
JOB TITLE, COMPANY: Owner, Easthampton Travel YEARS WITH CHAMBER AND POSITIONS/OFFICES HELD: 8 years with Chamber; Board of Directors for 7 years; 2014 President WHAT YOU DO: What don't I do? I sell personal travel, corporate travel, escorted tours, independent tours, cruises, trains, planes and automobiles. I take the stress away from travelers so that they can enjoy their experience and have a worry-free vacation! EXPERIENCE OR BACKGROUND: I attended Dean College for Travel Tourism and minored in business management. I started out as an intern at Genovese Travel in Springfield in 1988. In 1989, I graduated college with an Associate's Degree and accepted my first full-time job with Tripp Explorer in Northampton. In 1990, I moved to Holyoke and accepted the manager job at Premium Travel, a travel agency within Goss & McClain Insurance. Wanting to get closer to home in 1991, Easthampton Travel was opening in Easthampton and looking for a manager to run the business. I knew this was where I wanted to be. In 2006, I became owner of Easthampton Travel. If you can't find me at the travel agency, most likely you will find me at Puza's Pure Food Market in Southampton, where I oversee all aspects of the day-to-day operations and have been working there as long as I can remember. I also have been on board of the Greater Easthampton Distinguished Young Women for the past 12 years. SOMETHING THAT OTHERS MAY NOT KNOW ABOUT YOU. Hmmmm, the question is, what do I want people to know about me? I LOVE the Wizard of Oz. I have a collection beyond all collections, but not the more recent memorabilia...it has to be old and vintage and have value and meaning. My passion is so strong that the Emerald City, Dorothy's ruby slippers and Glinda's wand are tattooed on my back. I also was a competitive dancer throughout my school years and still took classes up until a few years ago, tap being my favorite. I also enjoy cooking, photography, and motorcycles (children's names Harley Marie and Jesse James). Little-known fact: snakes, clowns and I are not friends.
