Is Live!

The Hampshire County Regional Tourism Council has launched its new website, visithampshirecounty.com, that provides a wealth of information on Hampshire County's myriad of tourism opportunities to introduce visitors from near and far about what our county has to offer.

The H.C.R.T.C. is one of 16 regional tourism councils throughout Massachusetts, funded in part by the Mass. Office of Travel and Tourism, who are dedicated to growing the economic impact of tourism for our area by promoting Hampshire County as a superior destination for four seasons of events, destinations, dining, vacations and so much, much more.

The site offers the full gamut of possibilites for tourists to explore and your Chamber sure that you will be pleased to see all that is available for visitors to experience!

Your local Tourism Council invites you to take the time to fully visit the site and feel free to offer up suggestions on additions and improvements that will help keep the site lively and to make sure that all visitors can experience "The Other Side of Massachusetts" and bring their valuable tourism dollars to boost our economy.

Area News: Easthampton to Show Spirit June 29

Thanks go to the Easthampton Spirit Committee, which will hold this year's family event and fireworks spectacular on June 29 at Daley Field.

The event, which is sponsored entirely by individual and business donations, runs from 5:00 to 10:30 and includes bands, food vendors, a climbing wall, and a wide range of activities for children as well. The bands will include Maxxtone, Trailer Trash and the Vallan Brothers Band.

Major sponsors so far this year include the Chamber, Easthampton Savings Bank, Florence Savings Bank, Finck & Perras Insurance, and Five Star Building Corp. The event also cannot happen without the help of its many volunteers, who handle setup, parking, money collection, crowd control and cleanup.

This annual event costs approximately $30,000, and is supported entirely by donations and sponsorships. Information about how to sponsor the event, donate or volunteer can be found at www.easthamptonspirit.com (donations can be made online), by email at sponsor@easthamptonspirit.com or on their Facebook page.
