Boy Scouts Celebrate Gateway Arch Anniversary
Fifty years ago, Cornell Harvey was one of several Boy Scouts who helped attach the American flag to the last segment of the Gateway Arch. This Wednesday, Oct. 28, at 11 a.m. -- marking the exact moment the last piece of the Arch was hoisted into place in 1965 -- he'll assist current Boy Scouts in raising a new flag for the Arch's 50th anniversary. Join in the celebration at the Old Courthouse! The Gateway Arch is part of the Jefferson National Expansion Memorial, which offers workshops and programs to Boy Scouts.

Are You Prepared For Disasters?

The Community Emergency Preparedness Summit takes place Nov. 6-8 at Beaumont Scout Reservation. Let's Get Radical With Robots!

Scouting For Food Helps Feed Those In Need
The 31st annual Scouting For Food drive will be here before you know it! Bags are distributed to neighborhoods on Saturday, Nov. 14, and are collected one week later on Nov. 21. Last year, Scouts and Scouters collected more than $1.8 million cans of food. Contact your district executive for your unit's distribution map.

Powder Horn Prepares Leaders For High Adventure
Powder Horn is an outdoor high-adventure resource management course designed to motivate and prepare adult and youth leaders to provide their unit with a variety of safe high-adventure activities. All participants can experience the many outdoor high-adventure activities available at our council camps.
