2016 Camp Registration Opens This Thursday
Plan now to attend a Greater St. Louis Area Council summer camp in 2016! Online registration for Boy Scout summer camp, Venturing summer camp, and Webelos week-long camp opens Oct. 15 at 9 a.m. A non-refundable $100 deposit is due at registration to hold your campsite.

Camps fill up quickly, so register early!
What's Happening...
Radio Club Celebrates Gateway Arch During JOTA
The St. Louis and Suburban Radio Club hosts a special event on Saturday, Oct. 17, to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the opening of the Gateway Arch. This coincides with Jamboree on the Air (JOTA) weekend. Scouts are invited to see amateur radio stations in operation and also make contacts with other radio stations participating in JOTA.  The event takes place 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Villa Park in Olivette.
Camp Like A Cub Scout At LOE
Before taking Cub Scouts on an overnight camping trip, leaders must complete Leader Outdoor Experience training. Learn about camp facilities, basic cooking and camping skills, and resources. The next course is Oct. 17-18 at Camp Lewallen. Register here.
Become A BSA Certified Angling Instructor
Earn the BSA Certified Angling Instructor recognition at the Fishing Camp School presented by National BSA Fish Camp Schools. Join fellow anglers on Friday-Sunday, Oct. 23-25, at S bar F Scout Ranch. Then share your love of fishing and fly fishing with Scouts and Venturers. Register here.
Are You Prepared For Disasters?
Leaders, Boy Scouts, Venturers, Explorers, Sea Scouts: Learn how to be ready to assist when disaster strikes. The Community Emergency Preparedness Summit takes place Nov. 6-8 at Beaumont Scout Reservation. Spend the weekend learning about search and rescue, team organization, terrorism, special needs consideration, and more. Several merit badges are offered to Boy Scouts. Register here.
Find Your Training Treasures At Pow Wow
Learn how to deliver the best possible Scouting program during Cub Scout Pow Wow on Saturday, Nov. 7, at Seckman High School. This training event offers dozens of courses and sessions for den leaders, Cubmasters, pack committee members, assistant leaders, and parent partners. Sign up before Oct. 17 to take advantage of early bird pricing.
Make Your Voice Heard!
Voice of the Scout is the Boy Scouts of America's semi-annual member survey that helps us identify areas for improvement and future growth. Fall surveys were emailed on Oct. 6 and remain active for two weeks. Your opinion makes a difference in the way Scouting will be delivered for years to come so please take a couple minutes to complete your survey.
