Try It All At Cub Scout Day One
Come and discover the exciting world of Scouting at Day One on Saturday, Oct. 3. This is a great opportunity for new Cub Scouts to see what the Scouting experience is all about.

Cub Scouts participate in outdoor activities, games and a full day of hands-on introductions to archery, BB guns, campfire cooking, science projects, and more.  Register today!
What's Happening...
Fall Fright Fest Offers Fun, Goblins, & More
Cub Scouts, their parent(s) or guardian(s), and sibling(s) are invited to Fall Fright Fest on Saturday, Oct. 10, at Beaumont Scout Reservation. Cub World transforms into a haunted camp with crafts, storytelling, ghouls and goblins, haunted trail, and more. Each youth participant receives a goody bag.

And you never know who will be there to lend a hand during tug-o-war! Register here.    
Camp Like A Cub Scout At LOE
Before taking Cub Scouts on an overnight camping trip, leaders must complete Leader Outdoor Experience training. Learn about camp facilities, basic cooking and camping skills, and resources. Upcoming courses are Oct. 10-11 at Beaumont Scout Reservation or Oct. 17-18 at Camp Lewallen. Register here.
2016 Camp Registration Opens Oct. 15
Plan ahead to visit a Greater St. Louis Area summer camp in 2016! Online registration for Boy Scout summer camp, Venturing summer camp, and Webelos week-long camp opens October 15 at 9 .m. A non-refundable $100 deposit is due at registration to hold your campsite. Camps fill up quickly so register early!
Become A BSA Certified Angler Instructor
Join fellow anglers at the Fishing Camp School presented by National BSA Fish Camp Schools at S bar F Scout Ranch Friday-Sunday, Oct. 23-25. Participants can earn the BSA Certified Angling Instructor recognition. Afterwards, share your love of fishing and fly fishing with Scouts and Venturers. Register here.
How Prepared Are You For Disasters?
Leaders, Boy Scouts, Venturers, Explorers, Sea Scouts: Learn how to be ready to assist when disaster strikes. The Community Emergency Preparedness Summit takes place Nov. 6-8 at Beaumont Scout Reservation. Spend the weekend learning about search and rescue, team organization, terrorism, special needs consideration, and more. Several merit badges are offered to Boy Scouts. Register here.

P.R.A.Y. Religious Emblems Program -- Join Salem in Ballwin United Methodist Church this fall for the Protestant Religious Emblems Program. An open house for all four program levels will be held on Oct. 1 at 7 p.m. Any Protestant youth in the council is welcome to attend. Click here for more information.
