Fill Your Bag To Help Local Families 

Scouts distributed blue Scouting for Food bags to homes last Saturday. Make sure to fill your bag with canned goods and place it on your doorstep by 9 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 15, for pick up.  

 

The area's largest one-day food drive, Scouting For Food supports more than 500 food pantries around our council. Read more...

Gale? Haymitch?

Find out at the Venturing Hunger Games: Capture the Flag! Tributes check in at 6 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 12, at the Cornucopia (Shippey Pavilion, Beaumont Scout Reservation). The victor is announced at 10:30 p.m. Admission is free, with snacks and bonfire included, as well as a showing of "The Hunger Games." Bring a friend and you'll each receive a sponsor gift to help you in the games. Read more and register...  

 

 

Get Some Holiday Cheer
At Day Camp For Cubs

Are you looking for something extra for your Cub Scout to do during winter break? Send your Cub and his sibling(s) to Holi-DAY Camp at Beaumont Scout Reservation. Choose from two sessions or sign up for both: Holiday Around the World, Dec. 22-23; New Year's Bash, Dec. 29-30. Fee is $65 per child per camp, and includes lunch, crafts, and activities. Cubs Build Machines And Models  

In STEM Workshop

Staff from Bricks4Kidz lead Webelos and Wolf and Bear Scouts in a science and engineering workshop on Dec. 6 in Kirkwood. Scouts build simple machines as well as build and modify a motorized LEGO model to fulfill requirements for "Science Everywhere" and "Swing."  Read more... 

 

 

STEM U Prepares Scouts For Future   

Cub Scouts, Boy Scouts, and Venturers can explore science, technology, engineering, and mathematics during STEM University at the University of Missouri-St. Louis on Dec. 27. Cubs and Boy Scouts will find similar activities at STEM U on Jan. 3 at Southeast Missouri State University. Online registration is open for both locations. Grace Period Removed
For Rechartering Units

Effective Jan. 1, 2015, a unit that has not reregistered by its expiration date will be considered separated by the Greater St. Louis Area Council and immediately dropped from the BSA's membership reporting. This means units are no longer covered by liability insurance and cannot use council facilities or programs. Recharter packets were distributed at November roundtables.
