1st NOVA Day For Cubs
 

Cub Scouts -- Wolf through Webelos ranks -- can complete most requirements for the NOVA award at the St. Louis Science Center on Saturday, Sept. 27.

Prepare For A Great
Dining Experience

A brand-new dining hall and central commissary is currently under construction at S bar F Scout Ranch. The project will be completed in time for the 2015 summer camp season. The new dining hall at Camp Famous Eagle will have the capacity to seat more than 400 diners. Having a climate-controlled building also transforms The Ranch into a year-round program facility. Troops will continue to have the option for patrol cooking at S bar F.

Learn To Teach Fishing To Scouts   

If your idea of teaching Scouts how to fish is telling them to "watch what I do," you probably could use some training. And we've got just the thing! Join us for Certified Angling Instructor Training Oct. 24-26 at S bar F Scout Ranch. Conference attendees will earn the BSA's Certified Angling Instructor recognition, meaning they are certified to run fishing programs at BSA summer camps and instruct the Fishing and Fly-Fishing merit badges. Watch For Camp Lottery Changes

During leader meetings at summer camp, there was an overwhelming number of requests and feedback to streamline the summer camp registration process. Council volunteers and staff are in the process of revamping the registration system. Information about the new system will be available the first week of October.
