Fright Fest Seeks A Few Good Men
And Women To Staff Pirate Ship

Summer may not be over but plans are already in motion for the annual Fall Fright Fest. Cub Scouts and their families enter a spooky Cub World on Oct. 11 for an evening of enjoyable activities along a haunted trail.

Troops, crews, and/or ships are needed to decorate and staff the Pirate Ship. Older Scouts, ages 15-21, are also needed to act as chaperones for groups on the trail. If interested, contact Kim Coleman.

Sleep Out At Beaumont
To Complete Your Pre-Ordeal

A Pre-Ordeal sleep-out is required to attend the fall reunion.
nullThe sleep-out is an opportunity for Order of the Arrow candidates whose troops camped out-of-council this year or could not complete the Pre-Ordeal at summer camp.
The Pre-Ordeal sleep-out is Aug. 23-24, 7:30 p.m. Saturday through 7:30 a.m. Sunday, at the council ring at Beaumont Scout Reservation. Scouts should be dressed in their Boy Scout uniform and bring a sleeping bag, flashlight, water bottle, and medical forms. Overnight adult supervision is required. A separate camping area will be established for adults not participating in member induction. Click here to register.

Fall Fun Rally Explores St. Louis'
Past, Present, & Future

2014 marks the 250th anniversary of St. Louis, and the theme of the Fall Fun Rally is "250 Years of Adventure." One of the city's founders was Rene Auguste Chouteau, only 14 years old at the time -- making him old enough to be a Venturer! So be like Chouteau and participate in adventurous events from the past, present, and future.
The Fall Fun Rally takes place Sept. 26-28 at Beaumont Scout Reservation, and registration is under way. Click here for more information or visit Facebook.

Program Guide Helps
You Plan A Great Year
The fun you and your Scouts are having this summer is a result of last year's program planning. Successful units take time during the summer to
keep the cycle of quality Scouting programs going in the unit, district and council. The council's Program Guide provides a wide range of information to help your unit assemble a great calendar of activities.
