Greetings!

All of our 2013 Eagle Scouts are invited to attend the Annual Eagle Recognition Dinner on May 14. This prestigious event, held at the Chase Park Plaza, is free for all 2013 Eagles plus one parent, but the deadline to register is April 30! One additional ticket can be purchased per Eagle Scout. Sign up now for the Eagle Recognition Dinner.

If your Scout hasn't achieved Eagle yet, be sure they register for Boy Scout Summer Camp where they can earn a variety of merit badges while having the time of their life. There is even an Eagle Trail Camp specifically designed to help Boy Scouts advance toward the rank of Eagle. Cub Scouts can earn pins and belt loops at one of our 50 day camps this summer. Find one near you!

Take a Shot at the New Shoot- O-Ree

The Shoot-O-Ree is coming to Beaumont (May 3) and Pine Ridge (May 10) next month! The event is open to Scouts of all ages, including Cub Scout-age siblings too! Cubs can try BB guns, archery, sling shots, water balloons, rubber band shooters, marshmallow shooters, and much more! Boy Scouts, Venturers and Explorers will have a variety of activities such as tomahawk throwing, handguns, shotguns, rifles, and archery!

Register by April 30 for Beaumont, and pay just $10 for Cub Scouts and $15 for Boy Scouts, Venturers, and Explorers. Pine Ridge will offer the Cub Scout Shoot-O-Ree. Cost is $10 by May 7 and $12 if registered after the early-bird deadline. Sign up for the Shoot-O-Ree

Memorial Day Good Turn
Memorial Day Good Turn The Gravois Trail District will perform its 65th annual Memorial Day Good Turn at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery on Sunday, May 25. All units are invited to attend and help place flags on graves. To participate, email G.T.MemorialDayGoodTurn@gmail.com.

The Jewish Relationships Committee Annual Good Turn will also occur on Sunday, May 25 to place flags on the graves of Jewish War Veterans at 7 Jewish cemeteries. Pre-registration is strongly encouraged by emailing EarlBinder@gmail.com with your unit leader, unit number, number of youth and adults participating and a contact number.

One Good Turn Deserves Another
Our council's Scouting For Food drive in November fills a tremendous need during the holiday season but over the summer months, many less fortunate kids who rely on free or reduced school lunches do not have that option. Help us keep their bellies full all summer long by bringing a canned food item to the Memorial Day Good Turn.

World Jamboree Registration Open
The 2015 World Scout Jamboree Registration System is now live and available through www.scouting.org/worldjamboree. In 2015, more than 30,000 Scouts and leaders from 161 countries around the world will converge on Kirara-hama, Yamaguchi, Japan, for the 23rd World Scout Jamboree. Don't miss out on this memorable Scouting experience.

Save the Date: Council Annual Meeting
Earlier this month we released the 24 Silver Beaver recipients for 2014. These Scouters will be honored during the Council Annual Meeting and Recognition Dinner on Wednesday, June 4. Please plan to join us as we celebrate the role all leaders play in building better Scouts.
