   Summer camp is just around the corner so don't forget to sign up for one or more of our exciting programs! Boy Scouts and Venturers, be sure to take advantage of the summer camp discount when attending two or more camps!

 

   You don't have to wait until summer for fun activities though. The new Shoot-O-Ree is coming in May to 

Beaumont (May 3) and Pine Ridge (May 10)! Cub Scout-age siblings may participate too! Cubs can try BB guns, archery, sling shots, water 

balloons, rubber band shooters, marshmallow shooters, and much more! Boy Scouts, Venturers and Explorers will have a variety of activities such as tomahawk throwing, handguns, shotguns, rifles, and archery! Sign up for Shoot-O-Ree 

 

 

Powder Horn Course Starts April 25 

Make plans to attend the upcoming Powder Horn course April 25-27 (Beaumont) and May 9-11 (S bar F)! The course teaches adult and youth leaders how to safely conduct outdoor activities of a FUN and challenging nature. The weekends will consist of activities such as climbing, scuba, equestrian, high and low ropes, sailing, rappelling, canoeing, kayaking, stand-up paddle boards, mountain biking... just to name a few!

It's Not Too Late To Sign Up For Spring Wood Badge 
Ever wonder what those wooden beads are around some Scouters' necks? They are Wood Badge beads! Wood Badge is Scouting's premier training course and it is where adult Scouters can learn by DOING. Members in the course are formed into patrols and troops. The entire troop lives outdoors for two weekends camping, cooking their own meals and practicing Scout skills.

 

Openings remain for the spring course scheduled for May 16-18 and May 30-June 1. Sign up for Wood Badge.

 

 

      

Dinner Recognizes Eagles 
Please join us for the annual Eagle Scout Recognition Dinner on May 14 at the Chase Park Plaza. This prestigious event is free for all 2013 Eagles plus one parent. One additional ticket can be purchased. The deadline to register is April 30. Register for the Eagle Scout Recognition Dinner.
 
Eagle Scouts attending should fill out and submit an Eagle Project Summary to Marc Tenholder by May 2, 2014.

The Greater St. Louis Area Council conducts a variety of summer camp programs for Cub Scouts, Boy Scouts and Venturers. Don't let your Scout miss out on all of the fun!

$50-100
Attend a week of Boy Scout Summer Camp or Venturing Camp and get a SECOND week at $160- a $100 savings- at one of the following camps: Fish Camp, STEM Camp, Eagle Trail Camp, and Catholic Adventure Camp. Or get $50 off these camps if you spend a week at another council's camp or a high-adventure base!  

(When applying for the discount, simply make a note on your Scout's specialty camp application that you qualify for the discount.)
