Developing good leadership skills can begin at any age. The den chief program provides the means of building relationships between the pack and troop.
A den chief is a Boy Scout who assists a Cub Scout den leader at den meetings, pack meetings, and other events. He's a ready source of games, songs, skits, and skills, and he encourages the boys in their advancement. The den chief regularly reminds the boys about Boy Scouts in a positive way as he leads activities and shares his enthusiasm for Scouting with the Cub Scouts.
More than 100 Boy Scouts attended the Den Chief Conference last fall. The next Den Chief Conference is this Saturday, 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., at Beaumont Scout Reservation. Reservations are due by Wednesday, Feb. 12, so don't wait!

Camp Card Sale Adjusted
To Begin March 1, End April 30
The 2014 Camp Card just got better with the addition of Shop 'N Save ($5 off a $50 purchase)! This adds tremendous value to the $5 Camp Card.

Scouts earn a commission of 50 percent ($2.50) for every $5 Camp Card sold in March and April. All Scouts and Venturers can use the money for new uniforms or other equipment. Sign up today to sell Camp Cards!  Read more...
