Quivet Cellars Sauvignon Blanc, Tench Vineyard, Napa Valley, 2013 (California)
This estate is named in honor of Quivet Neck in Cape Cod's very own town, Dennis. The 2013 vintage comes from the Tench Vineyard in the Oakville district of Napa Valley that borders well-known wineries such as Joseph Phelps and Screaming Eagle. The soil consists of loam clay which is ideal for Sauvignon Blanc and produces a beautiful balance. The vines are 13 years old making for a great concentration and overall body to the wine. The citric fruit lets it stand up to creamy avocado/guacamole while the grapefruit flavors meld well with salty foods. -JSR

The barrel aging is done in both stainless steel and oak separately and then the two are combined.
