Purple Angel is a selection of Montes' best Carménère selected from their two estates (50% from Apalta, where it's sunny vineyards give elegance to the wine and 50% from their Marchigue Estate, a coastal cool weather vineyard that produces low yields, and provides strength, concentration and deep intense colors). A fantastic wine that blends both elegance and power, Purple Angel showcases the spicy touches typical of Carménère, with ripe, gentle and soft tannins. You will find this wine full-bodied, concentrated, with red berries and dark chocolate on the palate with alluring cigar box, blackberries and plums on the nose.

The wine is blended with a touch of Petit Verdot to enhance its structure, color and cellaring potential. Cellar for 10 years or more, or decant for an hour or more now and enjoy with roast lamb, or your Holiday roast.
