From College Counseling
There are many reasons why 100 percent of Rosary's graduates go directly on to higher education. Our graduates are responsible and dedicated to pursuing their dreams. Their parents have loved, supported, and encouraged them and have invested in their education. The Rosary faculty has done a superb job of preparing all our students not only to be admitted to college, but more importantly to be successful in college. The Rosary Counseling Department has developed a comprehensive four-year plan that involves advising, counseling, and supporting each student and her parents throughout the college discernment and application process.
Of the Rosary Class of 2012, 86 percent of our graduates began their higher education at a four-year college or university. They are attending UC, Cal State, private, and out of state institutions. The Class of 2012 reported that they were offered $12,927,456 in merit scholarship awards!
The Rosary Class of 2013 is off and running in the college application and acceptance process. Colleges that have sent early acceptance notices to Rosary seniors include Notre Dame, Fordham, Whittier, LMU, Drew, Rose-Hulman Polytechnic Institute, Purdue, Cornell, Chapman, SMU, St. John's, University of Arizona, Gonzaga, Merrimack, University of San Diego, Regis, NAU, Catholic University of America, Oregon, Providence, CSUF, San Francisco State, University of San Francisco, Drexel, Concordia, Mount St. Mary's, Texas Christian University, Boise State, and Arizona State. There are still exciting weeks ahead as the majority of acceptances will be announced in March.
Standing Tall,
Ms. Mayo Crismon

Standing Tall Scholarship
The Standing Tall Scholarship was developed to recognize outstanding members of the incoming freshman class who demonstrate passion for leadership and a commitment to Rosary High School. Four incoming students will be awarded $2,000 each year, and this scholarship will continue for the four years of the student's Rosary career, totaling $8,000. Registered freshmen will receive notification when applications are available in early March. Students who have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher and who possess significant leadership involvement in student organizations, athletics, religious/civic activities, and/r community service are encouraged to apply. The application process includes submitting an essay on a given prompt and an interview later this spring. Scholarship recipients will be announced in May. |
Honors at Entrance
Students receiving Honors at Entrance based on their academic performance and test scores will be notified when acceptance letters are mailed home later this month. Those granted Honors at Entrance for the Class of 2017 will be awarded with a $250 Honors at Entrance Scholarship. This amount will be applied directly to their 2013-2014 Rosary High School tuition account. A special reception honoring these students with outstanding academic achievement will be held in the evening on Tuesday, March 5. Details will be sent in a few weeks to all students accepted with Honors at Entrance. |
Shadow Day
We invite students to join us for a shadow day to experience a 'day in the life' of a Royal. Visit our website for additional information about shadowing and to sign up for a visit. Students currently in sixth, seventh, and eighth grade are welcome to shadow. We hope to see you soon! Look at your school's calendar to see if there is an in-service day or other non-student day that you can come join us. Shadow students check in at 8:30 a.m. and the day ends with dismissal at 3 p.m. (unless other arrangements are made). We hope to see you on campus at Rosary soon! |

Red & Gold
If you have visited our campus lately you can probably see and feel the Red & Gold hype. Since 1971 Red & Gold has been one of Rosary's most cherished traditions. This school wide endeavor presents a unique challenge to our students who create, develop, direct, and perform in a musical theatre production based on an assigned theme. Preparation time is allotted during the school day for six weeks during the third quarter, culminating in a weekend of four performances. This process provides an opportunity for students to exhibit creativity and collaboration, employ critical and analytical thinking, and exercise initiative and personal accountability. Prospective students are invited to attend a special performance of Red & Gold on Friday, March 8. If you have not received an invitation in the mail and are interested in attending, please contact Ms. Nikki Wilson, Director of Activities. Limited tickets are available - and you do not want to miss Red & Gold! |
Royal Golf Classic
