Christmas is coming. Somewhere the geese are getting fat... I've only eaten goose once in my life. I think turkey will be on the menu this Christmas.

I'm ending 2015 with good news. The Stone Collie is finished and in the hands of my editor. I've asked the talented Trisha Fitzgerald to design the cover. It's time to take a few days off, decorate the tree, and do a little Christmas shopping online or in catalogs.

I'll post the release month for The Stone Collie on my Facebook Author Page as soon as I know it.

In Michigan we had one substantial snowfall. The snow promptly melted. We may not have a white Christmas this year, but there's plenty of snow in Foxglove Corners for my heroine, Jennet. If you haven't read The Silver Sleigh yet, you may want to order it for Christmas reading from www.amazon.com After all, fictitious snows are the best, in my opinion. They're beautiful and you don't have to shovel them.

If you're so inclined, please let me know what you thought of The Silver Sleigh. It has only two reviews on Amazon. I wonder why some books have hundreds?

My excellent web designer, Karenne, of Coffee Time Romance, has given my website a streamlined new look for the new year. Check out the My Books page. I love seeing all of the beautiful covers of my books together.

Suzanne Hurley, my friend and fellow Wings writer, has a January 2016 release, Love? This is the latest offering in the Samanatha Barclay mystery series. Love? may be the best of the Samantha Barclay books. As Sam prepares for her wedding, she's beset by doubts. Does she really want to trade her exciting life in for marriage?

In the midst of her angst, bones are discovered buried in her basement. This discovery leads to a cold case mystery which throws a damper on the festive mood surrounding the days before the wedding. I've written a review which will be included in the book. Incidentally the book's fantastic, evocative cover was designed by Trisha Fitzgerald. I hope she will create something equally enticing for The Stone Collie.

I've been searching for new Christmas books for my Kindle without much luck. They're out there, but the ones I've read to date aren't particularly special. Sometimes I think I've already read the best of them. An exception was Rest Ye Murdered Gentlemen by Vicki Delany. This is a well-crafted mystery that overflows with Christmas spirit in the uniquely Christmas town of Rudolf.

One of my all-time favorites is How Far to Bethehem? by Norah Lofts and the Christmas time-travel, If Only in My Dreams, by Wendy Markham. I also pull out all the traditional Christmas movies to watch this month.

It's a busy, happy time. After a sad summer, I'm determined to honor my brother by celebrating Christmas as we always did and being grateful for the sixty-eight years he was in my life.

I hope your holidays are everything you hope for. I plan to begin a new book soon, which is the best way to begin a new year. To all of my readers I wish the happiest of holidays.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.
