Dear Readers:

So I have an announcement! This went up on Publisher's Marketplace (or rather, an abbreviated version of it):

NYT Bestselling author Yasmine Galenorn's new paranormal romance series: the Whisper Hollow Series. Kerris Fellwater returns to her home town of Whisper Hollow, on the Olympic Peninsula in WA State, where "Ghosts walk among the living and Big Foot makes house calls." There, she takes up work as a shrine keeper-guarding against the dead who seek to return to life. But the shadows in Whisper Hollow hide more than monsters-they also hold secrets of the heart. And in Whisper Hollow, love can be as dangerous as the mysteries that pervade the town. Two books in a good deal, by Meredith Bernstein to Kate Seaver at Berkley Publishing.

Yep-one of my secret projects is no longer secret. I'll be writing a NEW paranormal romance series set over on the Olympic Peninsula near Lake Crescent-a beautiful, eerie place where a lot of odd things have happened. During my trip to Port Townsend in April, I realized I had to write about the peninsula...but writing about it in Flight From Death wasn't enough. I needed to dive in. And then, Kerris came to me, with her haunting eyes, and told me a little about herself and Whisper Hollow.

The WHISPER HOLLOW SERIES will NOT be part of either the OTHERWORLD or INDIGO COURT worlds. This series will actually much more paranormal romance than urban fantasy, with a vastly different feel...dark, brooding, sensuous, mysterious...the darker aspects will not be the same as my Indigo Court Series. Think more mood oriented than visceral. I'm very excited and can hardly wait to dive into Kerris's world.

Interested Onlooker: But what does this mean for your other books, Yasmine?

First...and here's the part I know some of you will be sad about, but please stick with me. I am taking Otherworld down to one book a year. I have to take a break from writing two books a year on it or I'll burn out big time and the quality will disintegrate.

To answer another question: Yes, I do now have a planned ending for the Otherworld series, but as to when I'll get there depends totally on my schedule and reader interest and whether my publisher wants more books or I end up writing the last books on my own. Not everything is under my control and while I still love writing the series, it's time to pull back a little, breathe and write some new worlds along with Otherworld.

So...next year-in 2016, you'll get PANTHER PROWLING (Otherworld), FLIGHT FROM DEATH (Fly By Night), and AUTUMN THORNS (Whisper Hollow) So still three books a year...plus all the short pieces I'm doing on my own. I'm planning to release.

This month was, I gave you the first collection-a short little group of scenes and stories: Tales From Otherworld: Collection 1. A note about the Nook version: we are having one hellacious time formatting it-it's far more complicated than the other versions so we're working on it, but the few times we thought we had the issues licked, we uploaded and boom, right back into sad-land. So I took it off of sale on Nook so you don't get an inferior product. But it's available for Kindle, Kobo, and on iBooks, and you can get free apps for your computer to read it with.

Interested Onlooker: So what's your release schedule like for the rest of this year?

Good question. Here's the answer!

On September 30th, PRIESTESS DREAMING will be coming out.

October 14th: I will be releasing MISTS AND SHADOWS-six stories of dark visions for your October reading.

November 4th: The MEN OF OTHERWORLD short story collection!

And on December 12th: A VERY LILY YULETIDE (an erotic treat for you in a world you haven't read yet).

So that's my current news. I'm excited, and I hope you are too! A new world to play in, and I'm still working on yet more Secret Projects! *wicked grin*
