Thank you to all the Parents and Guardians who attended conferences on February 4th.  We really appreciate your support!  The February 9th conferences have been rescheduled for February 23rd. The Art Show and Music Concert have also been rescheduled for February 23rd.

Linking
the Classroom to Home:

Many of the state and district level assessments our students take are administered electronically.  When taking these tests our 3rd, 4th and 5th grade students are required to respond to some test items in complete sentences and paragraphs. Practice at home is very helpful. One way to do this is to have your child keep an electronic journal. Encourage your child to write complete sentences including details, descriptive words, capital letters, and correct punctuation. It is always advantageous to proofread one's writing and make any needed corrections. There are many opportunities for online learning for your student.  Online learning can provide extra practice as well as reinforce difficult concepts.  Several websites your child uses at school are also accessible from home.  Ask your child's teacher if you would like more information about online learning appropriate for your student.
Check out our Kindness Tree - All the hearts
are acts of kindness from our students!

Gold Slips
Gold Slips are given to students by staff members for many reasons. February Gold Slips will be given for showing the character trait of Caring.  Students can demonstrate this trait by being kind, compassionate, grateful, forgiving, and helpful. Students come to the office and put their gold slip in our Treasure Box. Every Friday, Mrs. Bray picks 15 -20 Gold Slips from the Treasure Box and calls those students to the office for a prize. Gold Slip Winners for February 5th - Kayla Butler, Bai Le Tan, Eniaja Muse, Ryan Welch, Lucy Viton, Colten Watkins, Myah Berry, Trenton Hoskinson, Cooper Patton, Ava Youden, Landen Chapman, Ta'Myah Colvin, and Stevan Stewart
- Congratulations!
