Principal's Message
We are Thankful at Groveport Elementary!

I wanted to thank the employees at Kabota Trucking Company for giving 44 of our students coats.  The students are very thankful for these warm coats and hats.  We really appreciate your giving spirit and thoughtfulness.

I also wanted to thank our PTO for providing our school tree and class sets of ornaments. The students loved decorating their tree and they also love seeing it each day!

Linking the Classroom to Home:

There is more to studying than reading a chapter or reviewing a list of words.  Help your student study with these tips. 1.  When reading a selection or chapter, read the questions first to help point out key facts and information to look for.  2. Take notes while studying.  Jot down important facts, dates, names, or formulas while reading.  Your student may also want to write down questions to ask the teacher about anything not understood.  3. Link what is learned to your child's life.  Material that is meaningful is easier to learn and remember.

Gold Slips
Gold Slips are given to students by staff members for many reasons. December Gold Slips will be given for showing the character trait of Caring.  Students can demonstrate this trait by being kind, compassionate, expressing gratitude, helping people in need, and forgiving others. Students come to the office and put their gold slip in our Treasure Box. Every Friday, Mrs. Bray picks 15 -20 Gold Slips from the Treasure Box and calls those students to the office for a prize. Gold Slip Winners for December 4th - Trenton Hoskinson, Amber Ryan, Tyler Brown, Addison Edstrom, Dylan Burskey, Logan Carter, Baylee Milner, Josie Whitesel, Ohnicah Aaron, and Jesse Bumgardner - Congratulations!
