Students will be going outside for recess unless the temperature falls below 25 degrees. Students need to wear items that will keep them warm when it is cold outside (i.e. hats, gloves, jackets/coats, scarves). Please ask your child to check the lost and found because there are tons of coats already in the lost and found. Any items not claimed by Thanksgiving break will be donated.

Artist of the Week
Christina Thurber
Our 5th graders have been working hard on their African cat eyes. The students chose an African cat to draw using the grid drawing method. They had to pay close attention to the placement of their spots/stripes as well as their color. Christina Thurber was selected by Mrs. Sperk for her fabulous drawing. Christina is a 5th grade student in Mrs. Gordon's class. She attended Groveport Elementary every year except fourth grade. She has two older brothers, Cameron and Logan. She collects stones and gems. She loves reading, playing with her dog and drawing. Her favorite things to draw are mythical creatures.

 Thank you Rotary Club!
On November 6th, the Rotary Club gave every 3rd grader a dictionary. The students were very excited to receive these dictionaries and were fascinated with all the additional information included in these special dictionaries. Thank You!

Gold Slips
Gold Slips are given to students by staff members for many reasons. November Gold Slips will be given for being thankful and grateful. Students come to the office and put their gold slip in our Treasure Box. Every Friday, the Principal picks 15 -20 Gold Slips from the Treasure Box and calls those students to the office for a prize. Here are the Gold Slip Winners from November 7th: Averie Adams, Sara Combs, Jaiden Edwards, Deagan Hall, Ryan Pettay, Zack Sharpe, Tye Thomas, William Pittman, Macy Legg, Abby Biddle, Payne Williams, Jolisa Butts, and Farrell Mabra.
