Thank you for signing up for our email newsletter. My plan is to send a newsletter out every Friday. In this newsletter I will try to include information for teachers and parents. Some examples of what will be in the newsletter: upcoming important dates, safety information, Gold Slip Winners, Student Awards, spotlight on different classrooms and grades, Artist of the Week, etc. Along with this newsletter, we are also on twitter @april_bray. ARTIST OF THE WEEK
JAIDEN EDWARDS
Our 4th graders were learning about the Japanese Culture and each 4th grader drew and painted a Japanese Koi Fish which is a symbol of good luck/fortune. Jaiden Edwards was selected by Mrs. Sperk for his excellent project. Jaiden is a 4th grader in Mrs. McGonigal's class and is new to Groveport Elementary this year. He has an older sister, Jordan, and a younger sister and brother, Jaida and Javon. Jaiden enjoys playing outside, riding his bike, and video games. So far his favorite aspect of art is drawing. Congratulations Jaiden for being our Artist of the Week!

It's time for our first Pizza & Movie night! Please join us on October 3rd for Hotel Transylvania. We will be taking pre-orders for a family meal deal with Flyers Pizza. Please complete the form that was sent home with your child. Dinner for grades K - 2 will be at 6:00 and grades 3 -5 will be at 6:30. If you can't make it for dinner come at 7:00 for the movie. Popcorn and bottled water/soda will be sold during the movie for $1.00. All students must be accompanied by an adult for the entire event.

Gold Slips
Gold Slips are given to students by staff members for many reasons. September Gold Slips will be given for showing effort and working hard. Students come to the office and put their gold slip in our Treasure Box. Every Friday, the Principal picks 15 -20 Gold Slips from the Treasure Box and calls those students to the office for a prize. Here are the Gold Slip Winners from September 19th- Josie Whitesel, Joey Tish, Ella Slosar, Kaden Slone, Amber Ryan, Khalia Powers, Riley Pettay, Clay Patton, Ian McCaffery, Kyle Masters, Demareeante Dukes-Payne, Mason Cockerham, Jolisa Butts, Connor Burskey, Braylon Bizel, Averie Adams, Gabrielle Arcand, and Eva Walton.
