Beginning-of-the-year Giving
Many people give at the end of the year which is great for our charities because they receive the biggest boost to their budgets. But come spring, the challenges of the colder months start to whittle away at their budget, and they must, once again, focus intently on their fundraising.
Maybe this year we can give them a break. You could fund a well-developed project in this newsletter or simply send a donation without waiting for an event or letter asking for help -- just think how much time and money they could save!
Please remember that food pantry shelves are diminished more quickly in the winter-time and that shelter is especially imperative during the colder months of January, February and March.
According to the IRS, you have until Jan 31, 2013, to make donations that may be applied to your 2012 taxes, so if you procrastinated, not to worry, you still have time to make an impactful gift!
Please Give Today!
Best wishes,
Jennifer
