Bridges

After the headlines fade into the past, what's next? Where do we go and how do we prevent the past from haunting us in the future?

It's not only about gun control, because it's a person who pulls the trigger. It's about mental health, a sense of well-being, and the feeling that one matters and is cared about within a given community. The nonprofits in Oregon are here to bridge the gap between what's lacking in a person's life and helping them get to the other side to better health and happiness.

All nonprofits are the bridges for:

  • Vulnerable populations, unable to live independently
  • Individuals faced with a terminal illness or brain injuries
  • Technology to help children hear their Daddy's voice and say "I love you" for the first time
  • Shelter, food, and clothing for a homeless person or family
  • Teaching parents to give loving care to their children
  • Youth mentoring programs to develop productive and engaged citizens
  • Individual guidance toward self-sufficiency and economic development in the community
  • Environmental programs to keep our communities safe and hazard free

We are all connected to the health and well-being of every person, no matter where they are at in their life, because what they do may affect your life in the future.

So let us prevent the past from repeating itself by focusing on our present conditions. We must support organizations and programs devoted to helping bridge this segment of our community toward a better life--for the good of all.

Tis' the season...perhaps as a community we can carry the "season" into our every-day lives, from this day forward. Please make a donation and share the newsletter, because that's how it will work!

I wish us Peace,
Jennifer
