Issue 3 - 12/11/12
During the process of introducing the concept of the website and newsletter, I've become more aware of how devoted and passionate executive directors, their staff and volunteers are of the services they provide.
Even in the face of less governmental support, fewer donations, and increased needs, the executive directors are relentless in striving to achieve their goals. Anyone who has ever visited a nonprofit to learn about their needs, comes away with a great feeling and hope that progress will be made to educate, feed, shelter, and help an individual or family rebuild their lives.
I have a vision of driving down the street and no longer seeing people holding up signs for money because, instead, they are finding relief through shelters, drug treatment programs, mental health facilities, job training, and restorative justice programs.
So, how do we get there? I'll ask you--what if you forwarded the Newsletter to everyone in your database, and what if each of your contacts donated $10.00 to a project, then forwarded the Newsletter to their database, and each of them made a donation...~ there is no doubt in my mind that results would happen in our community!
Go for it, Push the Forward Button so that we can all come together as a community, then make a donation, you'll be glad you did!
Happy Holidays,
Jennifer
