It Isn't Easy Being Green...
Or is it?
Greetings!

There is still plenty of summer fun left this season even as we start to think of fall and new beginnings. In this edition, we offer some great ways to help those less fortunate be prepared for the start of the school year!

Stay Connected!
Back-to-School Drives for Bridgeport Students!

For many students in Bridgeport, the start of the school season can be anxiety ridden as they head off to school without a backpack and necessary supplies.

Below are some ConnectedCitizen.org Back-to-School Drives on-going until the middle of August. All of the donations collected will be given to The Community Closet to be distributed to the Bridgeport students who need them.

Back-to-School Drives
  • August 11th Back-to-School Yoga Event with Julia Hepfer at the Trumbull Edge!
  • The Patterson Club of Fairfield (1118 Cross Hwy) is accepting donations in the Pool House until Aug 18th
  • Donations may be dropped off on the front porch at 53 Harwich Rd. Fairfield
About The Community Closet
A professionally staffed operation, The Community Closet collects donations of clean used clothing, small household essentials, school supplies and diapers. Items are sorted, displayed, and given away completely free to needy clients of greater Bridgeport who are referred by a broad cross-section of the area's human service agencies and programs.

To drop off a donation, visit 475 Clinton Ave. (FSW Building). Park in front and tell the receptionist you are here for a donation drop off. Someone from The Closet will meet you at your car to assist you. It's that easy!
