Welcome to the spring edition of the admissions newsletter for the 2015-2016 school year.  The admissions newsletter is my way of communicating with our local schools, parishes, and prospective students about Admissions events and the latest news from St. Francis High School.

It's Not too Late.....


Applications are still being accepted for the classes of 2017-2020 and we will continue to accept new applications as space permits.  


To complete your application, you will need the following items:


  • $75 application fee can be paid by credit card online
  • 7th and 8th grade transcripts for incoming 9th graders or high school transcripts for transfer students.
  • Standardized Tests scores
  • Completion of the online recommendation form. (please enter the email address of your 8th grade homeroom teacher or high school counsleor)

New Student Welcome and Ice Cream Social
Monday, June 6, 2016, 5:00pm




The New Student Welcome is Monday, June 6 at 5:00pm in the Borina Athletic Center (gym). Check in will open at 4:45pm.  Upon check in you will receive your schedule for the 2016-17 school year.  Please note, you must have paid your registration fee in order to create a schedule and attend this event.  Those who have not yet registered their student for the 2016-17 school year yet will have the opportunity to register that evening.  The registration fee of $675 will be accepted by check only the night of the event.  To avoid the price increase please submit your registration of $525 prior to April 30th.  Our logoware store will be open that evening from 5-8pm.  If you have any questions please contact Marie Marheineke in the Admissions office a [email protected] .


At the New Student Welcome parents and students will hear presentations from our Administrative Team, student representatives from Animas and members of the St. Francis Parent Association. Students will also be able to pick up their iPads during the event.


Please make it a priority for at least one member of the family to be at the New Student Welcome. If you have a conflict and are unable to attend, please contact the Admissions Office AFTER June 6th.

The deadline for the registration payment of $525 and the completion of the Enrollment process is April 30th.  Any registration taken May 1-31st will pay the Registration fee of $600 and any registration taken after May 31st will pay the Registration fee of $675.  If you have a question about the Registration and Enrollment process please contact Ms. Nereida Madrigal at [email protected] .

Alumni Updates

 

Julia Colosi '11 is finishing up her "gap year" after graduating from UCLA.  In January Julia and her family learned that she was accepted into the highly acclaimed UC Davis Veterinarian Program.  Congratulations Julia and the entire Colosi family!

Dillon Houser '13 is currently a student/athlete at San Francisco State University.  Dillon was named Gator of the Week for earning a win in a recent pitching outing on the SFSU baseball team.

Spring Sports Corner


Congratulations to our senior Student-Athletes!  Our Spring sports are winding down their seasons and we wanted to thank our Seniors and their families for their years of dedication to St. Francis Athletics!  If you want to catch some of our last games/matches of the season, check the sports calendar below.  Follow our Baseball and Track and Field athletes as they enter the post season!












Health Physicals Offered at St. Francis
Thursday, May 19, 2016 4:30-7:00PM


All new incoming students are required to have an updated health screening prior to the start of the 2016-17 school year.  This year St. Francis will be hosting an Health Physical event in the Borina Athletic Center.  The Health Physicals will be offered on Thursday, May 19 from 4:30-7:00PM.  The cost of the physical is $25.00 and can be paid upon arrival.










Youth Football Camp



The St. Francis youth football camp is back and will be this year from July 11-15 from 9 am to noon each day. Come learn from the St. Francis coaching staff and have a great time doing so. The cost of the camp is $100 with financial aid available. The sign up sheet is the pdf below. To sign up please send the sheet to:

Summer Programs at St. Francis HS


St. Francis will again offer the Summer Bridge Program (SBP) for accepted incoming 9th grade students.  Please note, some students were required or recommended for the SBP upon acceptance.  The SBP will take place July 18th-29th and we will be offering the following courses:


  • Incoming Freshman Algebra Review course
  • Incoming Freshman High School Writing & Study Skills course
  • Incoming Freshman Co-Ed Strength & Conditioning
  • Incoming Freshman Concert Band/Drum Line
