Dear Families and Friends,

St. Francis Brings Home the Banners in 2012-2013

St. Francis had a successful year in athletics, bringing home three banners to the BAC! In the fall, sophomore tennis standout, Caroline Casper repeated as the women's SCCAL singles tennis champion. Casper has only lost one match in two years to a non-league opponent and is perfect in SCCAL play. She swept the SCCAL championship match this year, 6-1, 6-1.

This winter, the women's basketball team brought home the program's first CCS D-5 title over fellow Santa Cruz County opponent Pacific Collegiate School.  The Sharks (16-12) were too much for the top-seeded Pumas (24-5) and were victorious, 47-43 at Notre Dame de Namur University.

This spring also saw another St. Francis program earn its first title when the baseball team wrapped up SCCAL play with a 1-0 win over Soquel to clinch their first league title. The Sharks finished 20-7 and 10-2 in the SCCAL.

Become a Booster!

Support St. Francis by becoming a booster! St. Francis High School's Boosters are a vibrant part of our school community. They are a group of parents and community members who support St. Francis athletics through donating, volunteering, and purchasing a St. Francis Booster Pass. Boosters are integral to the running of events at St. Francis, and we rely on them to staff the concessions and ticket tables at all of our home athletic events.

There are many ways to get involved with the Boosters, and we are always looking for help. If you are interested in making a financial donation to support St. Francis Athletics, please contact the Athletic Director. If you have a skill or talent that you think the department could use, please let us know. We are always looking for people with an interest in carpentry, landscaping, and general skills to help with projects both on and off campus.

If you would like to volunteer at sporting events and fulfill your service hours, please contact Monica Ryan here: LINK If you would like to purchase a Booster Pass, the form is below in this newsletter and is also available on our website and at every home game. Booster Passes are $140 and are good for admission for two adults and children (under college age) to any St. Francis home event. This pass also comes with a gift.  Please note that Booster Passes cannot be used for away games, SCCAL playoff games, and CCS tournament games.
