What's New...
 As much as most of us love this time of year, I think we would all agree that it can be a stressful time. Massage & Bodywork Centers is here to help relieve some of that stress - with therapies for yourself and gift ideas to make your holiday shopping a little easier. The Intenders Circle is meeting again this Friday from 6 to 7:30 PM at Massage & Bodywork Centers. There is no fee, and everyone is welcome. Click here for more information about the Intenders CircleOur 2nd Saturday is Saturday, December 8 from 10 to 3:00 PM. We have a special guest this month - Barbara Salvitti, NHP, from the Tobit Wellness Center in West Chester - and our annual gift certificate sale. Check below for more information and some great specials. We'd also like to remind you about the Ladies Massage Workshop coming up January 12 from 9 to 11:00 AM. There is still room in this class. Participants will learn some massage techniques (focusing on the back and neck) that can be used on their friends and family when they notice them carrying around a little extra stress. This will be a fun class. No CEU's. The cost is just $50 ( Discounted to $35 on Dec. 8 ONLY). Pre-registration is required. You may have noticed that you're receiving this newsletter on a weekend, instead of the usual weekday. We'd love to hear from you about which is better for you - weekday or weekend.

Oncology Reiki/Massage & PreNatal Massage
We introduced Susanne Antonio, LMT and Reiki Master, in last month's newsletter. Susanne, who is part of the oncology massage and reiki team at the Pottstown Hospital Cancer Center, brings two new services to Massage & Bodywork Centers - Oncology Reiki/Massage and Prenatal Massage. Both offer a more natural approach to health.
Oncology Reiki/Massage is extremely beneficial for oncology patients or people who are facing serious illness. It can:
- strengthen the immune system
- excel healing
- relieve pain, stress, and tension
- help medication, chemotherapy and radiation be more affective
- increase red blood cell count
- make white blood cells stickier, which helps fight germs and illness.
 Prenatal massage is good for most women once they're through their first trimester. It can help control:
- blood pressure
- stress
- headaches
- back pain
- fatigue
- leg cramps
- swelling
- nausea
- insomnia
- pressure of the sciatic nerve
- postpartum stress and depression

Stress Relief for Kids
Recently we've seen some amazing results with our Tots, Tweens, and Teens therapy. Parents are saying their children are more relaxed, and it's as if they've received an attitude adjustment. We've also had some great success with both junior and senior high school athletes. So we decided to re-post an article from our September issue. And remember, gift certificates from Massage & Bodywork Centers makes a great Christmas gift for the tots, tweens, and teens on your Christmas list. Between the pressures of school - tests, threats to their safety, bullying, and peer pressure - to the stresses of life - family breakups, raging hormones, and violence on TV, in games and even on the streets - kids today are faced with more stress than ever. And in addition to increasing stress, they may also have to deal with sports muscle strain, backpack hunch, computer neck crick, exhaustion, and even texting thumbs. (Can you imagine!?!) Massage and reflexology are perfect for the relief of physical and emotional stress of today's active Tots, Tweens, and Teens. Research shows the benefits of massage and reflexology include relief from: social stress, sports muscle strain, PMS, tension headaches, asthma, moodiness, exhaustion, anxiety, depression, sinus issues, and ADD/ADHD. In addition, it can help improve mental focus and digestion. All of the therapists at Massage and Bodywork Centers offer half-hour massage or reflexology treatments for children under 18 years of age for just $25 through our Tots, Tweens, and Teens program.
