You have been asked to read the proposed By-laws as approved by the Board of Directors. If you have not reviewed your emailed version of the proposed by-laws as of June 12, 2013 please do so.
Most of you may have the same questions I did when I read the proposed By-Laws for our Club. First, where are the added changes indicated by BLUE type and the strikeout articles as indicated by RED type? Fact is there isn't any changes listed. How does an informed membership supposed to vote on any changes affecting future of their Club? Second question I have, the proposed By-Laws of June 12, 2013 refers to a "Organization and Administration Manual" I didn't receive a copy to review. Did you? Article III, Article V, Article VI, Article XII, and Article XIV of the proposed By-Laws refer to the Organization and Administration Manual. What is the basis or connection to each of these Articles and the OAM? Don't know Third Question. Why not make it a rule within our proposed By-Laws or the OAM, that ANY changes made from the current By-Laws be listed and noted in BLUE and RED type for the memberships consideration when asked to vote on such changes. Just makes sense. I would ask that President Ron and current Board of Directors fix these discrepancies and make recommended changes of re-sending both the By-Laws with BLUE and RED highlights for additions and deletions of any changed Articel and the complete Organization and Administration Manual, prior to voting on June 27, 2013 so that we may be an informed electorate and know what we are voting for. Finally, we never had a debate about any proposed changes and why those changes are necessary. Maybe its time. Glenn Chitjian-E-Newsletter Editor
