This is why You, became a Rotarian.

Rotarian Jane Owens
...and you call yours a vacation?

Jane Owens is a third generation "Orange-ite."
While growing-up she spent her summers bike riding and building forts on her family's citrus ranch located south of the area known as Olive. She has always been a lover of nature and the outdoors and enjoys long vigorous hikes in the hills around her house.

After a 32-year career in city government and municipal power she decided to devote herself to becoming an accomplished chef and enrolled at several local culinary schools. Her bike trip to France last summer combined her love of food with her deep passion for travel and exercise.
She has also spent time biking the Greek island of Crete in the Mediterranean Sea.

Jane attended St. John's Lutheran School, Orange High School, San Diego State University, and holds a Masters degree from University of Redlands.

Orange Rotary Community Trust Fund

The Orange Rotary Community Trust was established April 19, 1990. The purpose of the Trust is to fund community projects such as: scholarships, teacher mini grants, outreach assistance and self help programs. The financial support for these projects is derived from earned interest from endowments and fund raising events.

As background, the Orange Rotary Club established the Trust in order to provide a stable, reliable multi year funding for various service projects. Without this financing vehicle, many worthy projects could not be undertaken due to the annual nature of traditional Rotary Club funding.

Also, many members of the community sought ways in which to support the work of the Community Trust, without becoming Rotary members.  Yet they wished to enjoy the tax advantages reserved for charitable giving.

Therefore, to meet these needs, The Orange Rotary Community Trust was created as a 501c3 charitable Community Trust, under the laws of the Internal Revenue Service, The Trust provides everyone, member and none members alike, a way to support the many fine projects of Orange Rotary in a secure and tax-deductible form.  ~ Dave Weilmuenster Chairman 2010-13
