Some of you have been asking... about a short course on learning how to use your new IPad, IPhone, Tablet with Social Media like Facebook, Twitter, Linkedin, and You Tube. The goal would be to create a well connected Orange Rotary Club using today's technology (smartphones, tablets etc.) teaching our membership how to use Social Media to share ideas, photos, and exchange personal thoughts with each other. If you feel an interest on learning more on how to make your "newly accquired gaget" perform, please see me (Glenn Chitjian) for dates and times. To view the many photos of our activities of the Orange Rotary Club just head over to our Facebook page. The link is listed under "quick links" on right side of column. Here you find lot pictures of our Club members and what there talking about. If you have photos you would like to post to our Facebook page, but don't know how to do it, see at our weekly meeting and will get those photos available for all our member to see! ...Glenn Chitjian E-Newsletter Publisher Note: Added a link to view past Orange Rotarian newsletters... see under quick links |

President Ron's Weekly Message
Dear Rotarians,
The Presidents Christmas Gala hosted by District Governor Jim Lorman and his wife Cruz was a very special event last evening at the Double Tree Hotel. There were approximately 150 people attending. Orange Rotary was definitely a presence there with 26 members including a few

spouses supporting our District Governor and other district representatives. Our own Dick Meadows, dressed appropriately in his finest uniform, ( see a picture on right) with his wife of 66 years, Winnie, offered the evenings invocation.
The entertainment, the food, and the fellowship was wonderful.
The Hope School shopping trip last Friday at the Orange Target store was a great success as we will hear at our meeting. See the photo collage below
Our social committee had a wonderful successful evening, statin

g out with food and drinks at the wonderful home of Jane & Tim Owens, after which we traveled to the Chance Theatre. The play Little Women was a fun experience. Acting was worthy of a grander venue, it was that good. Our evening concluded with Champagne and various assorted cakes and sweets. The Social committee is planning other fun events for your pleasure. Come on and join in the fun!
Remember, Our Christmas Luncheon is just a week away, after this Thursday. Be sure to buy your Christmas Luncheon tickets this Thursday. The cost is just $25.00 each, and it will be a wonderful time. Get tickets for your spouse, other family members, employees and friends as well.

Project Hope Christmas Shopping December 7
Once again, the Orange Rotary Club continues the tradition of taking the Project Hope School students Christmas shopping for gifts for their family members. This project was started in 1989 by Rotarians Cliff Nelson and Bob Holland.
A huge thanks for all the Rotarians who showed up to assist the 58 Project Hope School children shop for Christmas gifts for their family members. Once again this project was a huge success. It is also one of our club projects that has the largest number of participation.......so again thank you. Also another huge thank you to Rotarian Chris Horton ( who is currently out on medical leave) for stepping up and paying for the yummy pizzas from Lamppost Pizza. We could never do this without all your support. "A deep heart felt thank you and Merry Christmas to all"
