Greetings!

It's coming.... In the very near future, I am going to be finalizing some new concepts for our Orange Rotarian newsletter. As a Club, information is most helpful when you want it. This portal (your newsletter) will provide instant documents that you can bring up on your PC, Tablet or Smartphone. If we can get most of our Club forms to PDF files, then I can provide a section to access these documents when you need them! I have also worked on a Club Roster file, with help from Bill Cordes, that will go into your contact list for the IPhone or IPad. Lastly, video is coming for our Rotary Minute. Lets get creative! Sam Sampson, we need you!!! To view the many photos of our activities of the Orange Rotary Club just head over to our Facebook page. The link is listed under "quick links" on right side of column. Here you find lot pictures of our Club members and what there talking about. If you have photos you would like to post to our Facebook page, but don't know how to do it, see at our weekly meeting and will get those photos available for all our member to see! ...Glenn Chitjian E-Newsletter Publisher Note: Added a link to view past Orange Rotarian newsletters... see under quick links |

President Ron's Weekly Message
Dear Rotarians,
Jingle bells, jingle bells and a Ho Ho Ho Ho Ho! Our Christmas meeting is coming, just three short weeks to go. That is right, so plan on picking up your luncheon tickets on Thursday. This year we are selling reservation tickets. The cost is just $25.00 each paid with cash or check or credit card. You will need these tickets to go through the lunch line. This will help avoid the confusion of a punch and $5.00 and the extra confusion over who paid and who owes etc. The seating will be non reserved, so come early to get the seats of your choice.
Remember, bring your wives or significant other as well as your kids, friends and coworkers. It is always a good policy to make your staff happy by bringing them to this great event as well. SO, BRING YOUR WALLETS WITH YOUR CASH, CHECK OR CREDIT CARDS and look for our ticket table this Thursday. OK?
IMPORTANT LAST CALL THIS THURSDAY! Purses, new or nearly new, cosmetics, ladies supplies such as soaps, creams, lipsticks, etc. are really needed by these ladies we are helping. You gals know what to bring, you guys, ask your wife to get them for you so you can contribute as well. YOU WILL BE BLESSED FOR YOUR GIVING HEARTS.

Annie Nelson
CEO/Founder American Soldier Network Having no real knowledge of our troops but a fierce need to do something, she decided to write. And write she did!
 | | Corp Jesse Schertz | .Corporal Jesse Schertz, hit by suicide bomber on 12/22/2004, became Annie's first Pen Pal. The Marine in Iraq and Annie at home shared tears, fears, tragedies and triumphs. The faith and friendship of two strangers brought together by war has proudly grown into the American Soldier Network. US Veterans Magazine added Annie Nelson as a columnist with her "American Heroes" column www.USVeteransMagazine.com
"U.S. Veterans Magazine is proud to be partnering with Annie Nelson and the American Soldier Network to reach our nation's transitioning veterans, helping them successfully move from military to civilian life. Annie's hands-on work with thousands of active-duty service members and veterans each year gives her unique insight into their strengths, concerns, and challenges. She brings us stories of great hope, highlighting veterans who have come home and found victory and fulfillment as civilians. With these stories, we hope to inspire all returning veterans and to guide them to the resources they need to write their own success stories!" -Mona Lisa Faris, President and Publisher, U.S. Veterans Magazine

Can you Help? Last Day
It's that time of year again! Time to start collecting your unused personal care products and your new or gently used purses for women in shelters and other support programs. When you donate items you make it possible for these women to receive a gift during the holidays.

PROJECT HOPE SCHOOL CHRISTMAS SHOPPING
This Friday December 7, 2012 9:30 am -12:30 pm
Once again, the Orange Rotary Club continues the tradition of taking the Project Hope School students Christmas shopping for gifts for their family members. This project was started in 1989 by Rotarians Cliff Nelson and Bob Holland.
Rotarians will meet & be assigned students at the Target Store at 2191 N Tustin Ave at 9:30 am. Each Rotarian will be given a specific amount of cash for the students to select gifts for their family members. After shopping, the students will be bussed back to the school at 343 E Grove in Orange. Rotarians will follow and join the students to assist in wrapping the gifts and enjoy lunch with the students.
Any questions contact Diane Clanton (714) 282 8206 or Moira Singer (714) 538 5591
