WE NEED YOU Our big event, the Rotary Rawhide Roundup is fast approaching. To make this a truly successful event, your participation is necessary. President Ron is counting on each Rotarian to do their part, invite a guest, purchase a raffle book, enjoy some great live C&W music, dance, play poker, even get arrested by our guest sheriff. Participate in the silent and live auction. Enjoy the western theme buffet or a cold one at the Long Branch saloon. Take home your "old time photo" memento of you and your sidekick. Then, our own much loved Rotarian Darol Carlson back with us to be honored once again. He is bringing his beautiful wife, Hollywood actress, Rhonda Fleming.
We will next be honored to have a presentation from the very elegant, professional wife of our member Joe Hager. Holly Hagler will be our program this week, telling us about her work. We areso happy to have you with us Holly.

Finally, our fabulous Rotary Rawhide Roundup at the RRR Ranch in the Rawhide City built by Warren Parchan and his great construction company. We have a totally fun party planned for you. Lots of fun activities, great grub, prizes for the best western wear, best poker players, the best Texas Two Step learners, a chance to have your friend, or not, arrested and thrown in jail, over 80 special items up for auction including so many unique things to please everyone. Be sure to spin the wheel of fortune for a great prize or panning for

Holly Hagler

Holly Hagler is the CEO of Community SeniorServ, the state's largest safety net non-profit agency providing social, nutrition and health services to older adults and their families. She also serves on the Board of Directors for the National Association of Nutrition and Aging Services Providers (NANASP).
Holly's past non-profit volunteer work includes serving as the founding president of the Drucker Society of Orange County and as a volunteer advisor to OneOC. She previously was chief of staff of a major global media ministry. Prior to that, she was a partner with a publicly-traded, international professional services firm.
Holly earned an MBA degree from the Kellogg School at Northwestern University and dual undergraduate degrees from the University of California, Irvine. She is married to Joe Hagler, a member of Orange Rotary, and their daughter is a first year student at CSU Long Beach.

These Orange Rotarians donated over $3,500 to the end polio campaign at an Angels-Rotary baseball game this past September. Over $84,000 has been donated to the end polio campaign from this event. We have seen victims in iron lungs suffering and since "we are this close" to ending this crippling disease worldwide everyone should participate in this effort. The Sindh province of Pakistan contains some of the most remote villages in the world. To reach children there, the vaccine must travel more than 1200 kilometers from Islamabad. "WE NEED YOUR RESERVATIONS: Our next Social Event will be our Christmas Gathering to the Chance Theater in Anaheim to see "Little Women" on Thursday Dec 6. We will begin the evening about 6 pm with HEAVY hors d'oeuvres at Jane and Tim Owens home, then travel to the Theater and enjoy the play from 8 pm to about 10:30 pm. We stay at the theater after the performance for deserts and champagne. Cost will be $30 per person and we are taking reservations now. Sign up flyers will be on the tables at the next 3 meetings, we need firm numbers for our reservations and food by Nov 22. Please check your calendars and make your plans to attend this fun evening for our annual Christmas Gathering. PROJECT HOPE SCHOOL CHRISTMAS SHOPPING

Once again, the Orange Rotary Club continues the tradition of taking the Project Hope School students Christmas shopping for gifts for their family members. This project was started in 1989 by Rotarians Cliff Nelson and Bob Holland.
Rotarians will meet & be assigned students at the Target 2191 N Tustin Ave at 9:30 am. Each Rotarian will be given a specific amount of cash for the students to select gifts for their family members. After shopping, the students will be bussed back to the school at 343 E Grove in Orange. Rotarians will follow and join the students to assist in wrapping the gifts and enjoy lunch with the students.

Come and join the City of Orange for an evening of holiday cheer and family fun as we sing traditional carols of the season with the Orange Community Master Chorale led by musical director Michael Short. Orange Rotary will be serving up Kettle Korn and need Red Badgers to participate in the fun and great fellowship.
