3SC Values:

Our values shape the culture and character of our organisation. They affirm what sets 3SC apart from the competition, how we behave and what choices we make...

Lorraine Powers, CEO:

"...at Ten Green Bottles, we believe it is a travesty that so many young adults are at home when they have so much creativity to release. So many young adults have potential that is yet to be realised, which is a shame."

Welcome to 3SC!

We work with our members to promote best practice, create and implement innovative solutions and shape and design high quality services.

Our members include charities, social enterprises, voluntary and community groups representing a diversity of specialisms.

We work with the Third Sector because it has the expertise, ethos and skills to deliver services that put people and their communities first.

As a social enterprise, we promote a culture that values and rewards innovation.

3SC bids for and delivers contracts through consortia and acts as an enabler for the Third Sector.

Jobs Growth Wales:

Job's Growth Wales
is a Welsh Government programme that encourages sustainable employment for young people by covering salary costs at national minimum wage and national insurance contributions for the first six months of newly created jobs.

We can work with third, public and private sector organisations on this programme and our aim is to match up employers with talented young people who have the right skills to offer the business. We also work with young people who are a little further away from the job market and develop them with training which will help them secure employment.

At 3SC we know that the landscape for public procurement has changed dramatically in the last 10 years, sometimes to the detriment of smaller providers and charities.

By working with us, those smaller organisations can have access to large scale public contracts but can still concentrate on the things that really matter, to provide effective, needs driven, local services.

Employer Case Study:

The Social Enterprise Ten Green Bottles Powys CIC is the original creative recycling company, handcrafting beautiful glass products from recycled glass bottles.

They offer supported roles to people of all abilities to enable them to gain experience and skills to develop themselves as well as giving them the chance of gaining sustainable employment in the future.

Working with 3SC has enabled them to access young people who are desperate to contribute to the workplace and prove their self worth whilst commencing a new career. The bridge Jobs Growth Wales offers employers across the country in rural areas, as well as inner cities, is key to addressing youth unemployment and inactivity and employer growth.

3SC has been delighted to match their recruitment needs with Job Growth Wales Employees.

Other Welsh Contracts:

3SC Capitalise: Welsh Social Impact Bond in Action

The 3SC Capitalise Programme is a DWP Innovation fund project in Wales designed to address cognitive behaviour issues and low achievement in young people to improve engagement in school and raise achievement level.

Operating in Cardiff and Newport across 12 schools, 240 young people have been referred and are receiving valuable support from the project workers and specialist teachers to achieve outcomes of improved behaviour, improved attendance and in improved attitude at their school.

Access to Work:

3SC manages the Access to Work contract in Wales, with six organisations undertaking workplace assessments for the people with disabilities, one being the Royal Association for Deaf people (RAD).

Wendy does workplace assessments for employees who have asked for Access to Work support. She assesses the needs of the employees. These can range from specialist equipment to disability awareness training for colleagues, along with costs and suggested recommendations.
