Empower Critical Intervention Management

The rapid changes in the economic climate have caught many charities by surprise. Rapidly finding themselves in a critcal position with limited options.

Empower have over ten years experience intervening in even the most serious situations and turning organisations around.
What we do:
We can manage the whole process, responding to:
- Financial issues
- Threat of clawback of funding
- Governance and compliance issues including HMRC
- HR and staffing difficulties
- Restructures
How we work:

Taking over the Chief Executive function or working alongside senior staff we act quickly to identify issues, secure the organisation and engage key stakeholders to resolve the problems.

We aim to work with the organisation until it has been stabilised then hand it back.

We have a number of testimonials from previous customers:

"There is no doubt in my opinion as Chair of the Board of Directors / Trustees of Bryncynon Community Revival Strategy that the appointment of Empower as our Interim CEO and Corporate Staff team has helped the Board to focus on issues that needed prioritising. I believe that the morale of the Board and the staff has improved under the guidance of Empower and that the many hurdles we have yet to overcome will be crossed. The Empower team have worked tirelessly to help sort out many of the problems we have and in the long term Bryncynon will be all the stronger due to the support and guidance Empower has given us."

Phil Jenkins: Chair, The Bryncynon Revival Strategy

"We know the difference having someone like Bev can have to the running of a charity. Bev is dynamic and tackles issue head on. We are glad that following our advice Bryncynon appointed her along with her colleagues at Empower to take the charity forward."

Sarah Case: Charity Expert at Broomfield Alexander

"Ms Garside's clarity of thought and decisive decision making sadly arrived too late to save the organisation. I would have resigned and let the organisation sink had it not been for the support and commitment of Bev and her team. It was only Bev's abilities as a decisive crisis manager that I stayed on to ensure that the organisation was able to have a managed end to its activities ... If anyone is able to bring direction and stability to your organisation, if anyone is able to protect the interests of the Directors and the sustainability of the organisation then I would have no hesitation in recommending Bev and her team. Should you wish to speak with me, then I know that Empower have my contact details which I authorise them to share."

Adrian Tuck: Tredegar Development Trust

"This is a challenging but exciting time for Fitness Wales as we plan for the future growth of the organisation. It was therefore felt by trustees that we would benefit from some expert leadership in the Third Sector to help us with moving things forward, to place us in the best possible position to take advantage of the opportunities that are in front of us and to ensure we optimise achievement of the associated development in our charitable objects. Although we are less than a month into our relationship, Bev has provided not just expertise in Third Sector operations but she has also shown positive and effective leadership in tackling key issues facing the business that have already had a significant impact. As trustees, we are extremely grateful to Bev for the way that she has 'hit the ground running' and fitted in so easily in such a short time."

Dena Digweed: Chair, Fitness Wales

"Thank you for your continued commitment through a very difficult period; I have really appreciated it."
