Dear Friends, 

 

Four years ago, we joined together to make a major investment in Israel's next generation. We pledged to build a new kind of youth leadership program at the IAF Center.

 

Every day, I have the great privilege of seeing our bold vision come to life. I meet the more than 3,000 young men and women from across Israel who are now finding a path to success, leadership, and national service through the training and mentorship that they receive at the IAF Center.

 

They work with mentors like Shelley Atzda - a promising young engineer in Israel's F-15 squadron. Born in Ethiopia, Shelley's mother died when she was very young - and she found herself living all alone in Israel at the age of 17. This week, Shelley brought her inspiring message to youth from minority and low-income communities facing the same challenges that she once faced.

 

Shelley said, "I could have drifted to the bottom of society, living in the street. However, I vowed to become strong...to serve in a meaningful position in the Air Force. It taught me the true importance of Israel. I don't feel alone anymore. I have a home here now that I never thought

With your support, we continue to build this remarkable program every year, partnering with mentors like Shelley to instill character and leadership in Israel's next generation.   Next year, we hope to reach more than 5,000 young men and women across Israel. Your year-end donation will help us to reach this ambitious goal.
