Eretz Cultural Center Leadership Gala Event Honoring  IAF Center Youth Programs

Last week, I was deeply moved to be present for an incredible display of support for the IAF Center. On October 23rd, more than 500 of our friends gathered in Los Angeles for the Eretz Cultural Center Leadership Gala. Together, they showed their commitment to the IAF Center - and willingness to generously contribute their time and financial resource to advance its mission.

I could sense the passion in the room, as

we heard from Lt. Colonel Ido, a fighter pilot and squadron commander, who spoke about his squadrons' bravery and professionalism on the frontlines in

Gaza last summer - and his activities at the IAF Center to instill character and leadership in Israeli youth. I could feel the great love for Israel, as our Foundation Board President Yehochai Schneider thanked Nader Ghiam, Manijeh Pournazarian and the many other leaders of the Eretz Cultural Center for their longstanding dedication to our work.

I could feel the great pride in our  accomplishments together, as we heard a powerful endorsement from Yaki Lopez - Israel's Consul for Political Affairs in Los Angeles - who said, "The IAF center has been instrumental in bringing the IAF values to the forefront of the Israeli society. It is investing in Israel's finest, and only, natural resource - our human resource."

The leaders of the Eretz Cultural Center demonstrate that the duty of safeguarding the Jewish State - and spreading the values of Zionism - extends well beyond the Israeli people. Each and every Jewish community has a responsibility - and a role - to play

I am so grateful that so many supporters - at the Eretz Cultural Center and in all corners of the world - have taken up the mantle of leadership to help us build a vibrant IAF Center, and a brighter future for the State of Israel.
