This Independence Day, join with us to invest in Israel's next generation of leaders

Dear Friends and Supporters,

This week, as we celebrate Israel's Independence Day, the IAF Center pays special tribute to the brave men and women of the Air Force who give their hearts, souls, and sometimes, their lives, to safeguard and strengthen the Jewish nation.

For 66 years, the heroes of Israel's Air Force have stood on the frontlines of the country's defense - and served as a driving force behind its remarkable success and innovation. With your partnership, the IAF Center is training, inspiring, and developing the Air Force's next generation of leaders, who will stand at the helm of the ongoing project to build a secure and vibrant Israel.

We need your support to continue this vital work. As we celebrate 66 years of Israeli Independence, join with us to invest in future leaders, like Sergeant Amit Shemesh, by making a donation to the IAF Center Foundation.  Donate Now

Amit is an instructor in the Air Defense Corps, who grew up in Hong Kong and immigrated to Israel in June 2012. She is one of 300 lone soldiers that the IAF Center hosted as part of a special gathering for Independence Day.

These soldiers carry the burden of military service all on their own, with no family support. As they gathered at the IAF Center, these lone soldiers were joined by the senior Air Force leadership - including IAF Commander Major General Amir Eshel - who expressed Israel's deep appreciation for their service.

Amit spoke on behalf of her fellow lone soldiers. She thanked the IAF Center for the critical training and support it provides for young Air Force officers - and described her deep motivation for serving the State of Israel.

Amit said, "People keep on asking me why Israel? Why leave the comforts of the country where I grew up? Why leave family and friends? To all of them I answer - my inner compass always points to Israel. My soul has always yearned to enlist and serve in the defense of the Jewish Nation."

With your support, the IAF Center will continue to build passionate and talented leaders like Amit through our cutting-edge educational and mentorship programs.

On behalf of the entire staff of the IAF Center, I wish you a very happy Independence Day - and thank you for investing in Israel's future leaders.
