Rebuilding the IAF Youth Corps

The IAF Center's Partnership with the Air Force Instills Zionist Values in Israel's Next Generation

Four years ago, the IAF Center embarked on a new partnership with the Israel Air Force. We re-established the IAF Youth Corps - a movement that once produced many of Israel's greatest leaders, but had been closed for more than two decades.

 

Together, we have restored this youth movement to its former glory, recruiting, training, and organizing a new generation of IAF Youth - one town at a time. Our efforts have focused on incorporating young people from minority and challenged communities.

 

Youth Corps members learn the values of Zionism, service, and volunteerism. They gain firsthand experience with the Air Force and its mission through weekly lessons, quarterly retreats, and mentorship programs with IAF officers and soldiers.

 

In four years, we have brought 750 young people into the IAF Youth Corps. Our goal is to train more than 2,000 students by the end of 2014.

Curriculum Package ($5,000)

Enrich student learning with new content and curriculum. This package covers the cost of adding to our curriculum with research, editing, translations, adaptations, computer animation, and video.

   

Curriculum Package ($2,500)

Today the NCLCD has only four computer stations for sessions with 30-40 students. This package covers the cost of adding three computer stations to our media room, allowing us to offer smaller group sizes and greater access to hands-on, interactive learning.

  
Outreach Package ($1,800 or $1,000)
 

Enable us to empower young people from low-income and minority communities with the opportunity to attend the NCLCD. This package covers the cost of transportation and meals for students who live far away from the Center in Israel's North and South.

  • $1,800 - Transportation to and from the Center for six classes for 210 students.
  • $1,000 - Food and Beverage at the Center for 75 students. 
Sponsor a Student ($500)
 

Enables us to provide leadership training for a student for an entire year. Make an investment, change a young person's life, and create a new leader for Israel!
