Free member webinar!

On July 9, WSPA members can avail themselves of a FREE WEBINAR that address the viability of small and medium-sized print companies.

Sizing Up the Future:  Can Small and Medium Printers Survive and Thrive? is designed to help printers assess the key issues and trends impacting small and medium size printers now and in the future. It can be used to help printers of all sizes to understand these trends and plan for their firm's success in the years ahead. The presentation addresses many critical questions, most importantly, is there a future for the small to medium size printing firm?

The presentation concludes that small and medium sized printers do, in fact, have a very viable future; can compete with larger printers; and will remain a significant part of the printing industry landscape for the foreseeable future. Dr. Ron Davis  and Ed Gleeson reveal how they've used data to come to this conclusion using information developed from Printing Industries of America's own database of proprietary market intelligence (industry data not available from any other source.) The detailed information is developed from the most comprehensive menu of surveys in the industry including the Quarterly Print Market Survey, the annual Ratios financial survey and the Monthly Market Monitor. This robust set of industry intelligence allows Printing Industries of America to develop analysis for the industry, members and proprietary research for specific industry suppliers.

Empathy
According to Sales guru Leslie Groene, all successful sales reps should have empathy with their clients.  The dictionary defines empathy as: the intellectual identification with or vicarious experiencing of the feelings, thoughts, or attitudes of another.  It means you need to be able to put yourself in your clients' shoes.  You need to look at things through their eyes, feel how they're feeling and genuinely care about what's important to them, putting you own ideas and feelings about what's right for them aside.

Long-term relationship building

Many sales people, and companies for that matter, spend more time and money getting a client than they do keeping them.  That is so backwards!  From the time you first make contact with a client you should be thinking long-term relationship.  Once a client has purchased from you and they like and trust you, they are more apt to purchase more from you and to become ambassadors for you.  When you develop the kind of long-term, friendly relationship with your client and they are singing your praises to everyone they know, the business of sales gets so much easier.

HAPPY 4TH!

From the WSPA family to yours, have a wonderful 4th with family and friends and for those traveling - be safe!  Also let's not forget our troops on this special day for all of their service.  Without them we would not have the great liberties we have in this country!
