Congrats WSPA Benny Winners
Congratulations to WSPA member companies Cereus Graphics and O'Neil Printing for winning Premier Print Awards (Bennys) in the recent world-wide print competition. Cereus earned its Benny for Business and Annual Reports (4 or more colors 21-50 employees) while O'Neil won for the same category (51-100 employees). In addition to their Bennys, both firms were also recognized with three Certificates of Merit. O'Neil also earned two Awards of Recognition in the competition, which had 3100 entries from all over the world.
Other WSPA member companies receiving recognition included Publications Printers Corp. (one Award of Recognition and one Certificate of Merit), Scottsdale Community College (Certificate of Merit) and Vision Graphics (Certificate of Merit).
Stay tuned for information on the return of the Print Excellence Awards. Winning entries in this WSPA competition are automatically entered free of charge in the Premier Print Awards. This year's Bennys will be presented on September 28th in Chicago in conjunction with Graph Expo.

Postal discounts available
Business mailers who use Near Field Communication, "Enhanced" Augmented Reality, or other developing technologies that enhance how consumers interact and engage with mail, can get an upfront 2 percent postage discount on eligible mail pieces. You have until September 30th to register for this program with the United States Postal Service.
Upfront postage discounts are also available to mailers who use dynamic/variable color print for marketing and consumer messages on their bills and statements (first class postage). You have until December 31st to register for this program.

Catalogs trump social media
While no one can deny the power of social media, print still has undeniable influence Take catalogs, for example. Printed catalogs influence more in-store and online purchases than social media.
