Last Chance to Give Us Your Feedback about ICS PTSA. Survey Closes 6/15th!
Please take our short survey to give us your feedback on how we can make the ICS PTSA better. This survey should take 3-5 minutes. You answers will help us gauge what we can do better and understand the needs of our school community as we set future priorities. Thank you for your time and thank you to those who have already completed the survey.
Celebrating ICS
ICS Boys Selected Into USACA National U14 Cricket Tournament
Congratulations to Sahil Kancherla (7th grade) and Sathyanarayana Venkatesan (8th grade) for being selected for this squad! The USA Cricket Association NW Region conducted tryouts in May to select a team for the USACA National U14 tournament, which will take place in Bolingbrook, IL next month. 75 highly talented players participated in the trials which resulted in the final 14 member squad.
Volunteering

Volunteers Needed Monday (tomorrow) to help with Graduation
Last call to earn more volunteer hours! Graduation 2016 is on Monday, June 13 at Westminster Chapel in Bellevue and we need a couple more volunteers. We especially need two reception servers from 6:30PM-8:30PM. Please contact [email protected] if you can help.
Parking Lot/traffic control volunteers needed starting in September
We need volunteers starting on the first day of school to help with traffic safety in the ICS parking lot. If you are planning to drop off or pick up your student at ICS, this is an easy way to earn volunteer hours. Volunteers are needed before and after school at these times:
  • Mornings: 7:00 - 7:40 am
  • Afternoons: 2:00 - 2:30 pm on M,T,Th,F and 12:05-12:30 on Wednesdays
In addition we need someone to be the chair of this group, which includes setting up a schedule of volunteers and assisting with showing volunteers what needs to be done. If you are interested in helping, please contact Kathy Thompson, Volunteer Coordinator to sign up.

Lunch room volunteer positions starting in September
The ICS lunchroom is a fun and easy way for parents to obtain volunteer hours. Time commitments vary - just ask for more details about the opportunities below.
  1. Volunteers are needed to help supervise students during the lunch period when playing sports on the ICS field. In addition to field supervision, volunteers will ensure that equipment is put away at the end of the lunch period. Approximate time required is: 11:30 am - 12:10 pm on M,T,Th,F and 12:05 -12:35 pm on Wednesdays. We also need someone to coordinate the volunteer schedule for this activity. Please contact  Kathy Thompson, Volunteer Coordinator to sign up.
  2. Kitchen Help, Server, and Lyceum Set up/Clean up. If you are interested, please email Amy Iracheta.
  3. If your schedule is more flexible and you can't commit to the same day for the whole semester, please consider becoming a sub. You will be emailed whenever a position becomes available.
Note: All volunteers handling food are required to have a WA Food Worker's Card. Card. Please see this website: https://foodworkercard.wa.gov

Yearbook Committee Members Needed for Next Year

We are in need of one committee member for grades 6-12, for the 2016-17 school year. You do not have to have a child in the grade you are responsible for while serving on this committee. Much of the work is completed in the fall and through the month of March when the yearbook is finalized. The work includes taking photos (we also have a yearbook photography committee to assist with this task), sorting and laying out the photos for that grade level using Lifetouch software (training will be provided).

If you are interested in becoming a committee member representing a particular grade level, please email Samantha Robertson.
