This program provides financial assistance to paraprofessionals who work with students with special needs to obtain a bachelor's degree in special education, deaf education, or visual disabilities. On Thursday, May 18th from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm Med-el Corporation will be visiting the ILRC from their world headquarters in Durham, NC. They will be providing a Med-El Open House to Hearing Health professionals, Families, and Individuals with hearing loss.  

Med-el Corporation is a leader in the Cochlear Implant industry.  They have many success stories to share - including mine.  (grin)  

We have a unique opportunity to showcase the FTRI program, and all of our other great programs and services, with all of Med-el's guests for the evening.  This is an opportunity for the Center to show that we are Northeast Florida's premiere disability resource Center.  We share excellent resources with both individuals and professionals in Northeast Florida. We're a Center of excellence.  We provide our consumers with the resources which empower them to make informed choices.
