DeafTEC Registration Open!

If you want to learn strategies for supporting your students who have hearing loss, sign up!


 

DeafTEC: Student Access = Student Success


 

Full-day workshops are scheduled in six locations across the state. Workshops help STEM (science, technology, engineering and math) teachers learn strategies for students mainstreamed into their classrooms. They also benefit inclusion specialists and others working to ensure students who are deaf/hard of hearing or who have language delays are successful. 


 

Attendees can register to receive a $100 stipend for participating. See attached flyer for additional information.

DeafTEC (http://www.deaftec.org) is a National Science Foundation Project with headquarters at the Rochester Institute of Technology National Technical Institute for the Deaf (RIT/NTID) and the Florida High School Partnership at the Florida School for the Deaf and the Blind (FSDB).

TA Live! Eligibility, The Communication Plan, and MTSS

This training discusses eligibility criteria for D/HH services, the Communication Plan, and MTSS, and how they relate to one another and to IDEA.  The training looks at each component, what are their roles are in the special education process.  The session will look at potential issues that can arise for the district if these components are not used correctly, as well as the benefits that exist when they link properly.

 

RMTC is offering a series of technical assistance opportunities to address your "hot topics" via a monthly live webinar at 1pm on the second Thursday of each month. Don't worry if you can't make the live session. We will be recording and making the session available on our website for you to view at your convenience.
